Ina-Garten
Ina Garten, an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina Garten began her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget papers. While she initially found the work fascinating and intellectually stimulating, she soon became bored. Barefoot Contessa was then acquired. Before selling the business it took her an entire 18 years transforming it into a highly successful store. Many different cookbooks and magazines followed. Meanwhile her Food Network television show too was launched and quickly became a huge success. She also sells everything from cooking equipment to tools and storage containers. Ina has never attended any cooking school and has not been employed in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. Her name is known for her easy approach to entertainment and simple food preparation. She is well-known for her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
