Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also gained straight As in her A-levels. She regrets that she didn't receive a standard schooling when talking about her experience at Emmerdale. Coleman appeared as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she performed in during her time in school. Apart from being awarded a prize for acting, the production it performed attracted a lot of attention. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two awards. She was nominated for two awards. British Soap Awards nominated her as best newcomer. At the National Television Awards, she was nominated as the best newcomer with the highest popularity. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor after Arthur Darvill left the series, would be playing the role alongside Matt Smith. Moffat claimed that he selected Coleman to be the companion due to her ability to work best with Smith. Additionally, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the field since 1987, and has been part of numerous films and TV projects. The most popular of her work is her work on television than in film. Of the many roles Eva has appeared in, on TV shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that stand out. The former even earned her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and gave her a chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva is, along with acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She has been married three times with a daughter by her second husband.
