Rachelle Lefevre

Rachelle Lefevre is a Canadian. Lefevre, who worked at tables when she was in her teens, was found by an Canadian filmmaker who helped her land the role of her debut as an actor. Later, Lefevre moved to Los Angeles where she earned a part in What About Brian (2006). The actress' acting talents were discovered by a Montreal-based customer while she was working as an 18-year-old at the restaurant. This show put her in contact with an agent for casting. The result was a Canadian TV sitcom. Her appearances on David E. Kelley's Boston Legal (2003) led her to be the main character in David E. Kelley's 2008 U.S. version of the BBC successful Life on Mars (2009). The family of her father is French and Lefevre was raised to speak predominantly English and eventually relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 due to the lack of English-speaking people in Montreal. Her biggest role in a film, which was Catherine Hardwicke's film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. The film is the first of a popular series of teen vampire novels.
